How it all began?
Grade Boost Now was created to fill a gap in education — one where students weren’t just told what to learn, but were taught how to learn. As teachers ourselves, we saw bright, capable students falling behind not because of ability, but because they weren’t getting the personalized support they needed. We wanted to change that.
What started as a few tutoring sessions quickly grew into a movement of high-quality, curriculum-aligned support. Today, Grade Boost Now serves students across Ontario with flexible, online tutoring that builds confidence, closes learning gaps, and helps every learner feel seen, supported, and successful.
Meet our founder
Our founder, Stuart O’Brien, is a certified Ontario teacher and passionate educator who believes in meeting students where they are — and helping them grow from there. With years of experience in public and private education, Stuart launched Grade Boost Now to make academic support more accessible, meaningful, and impactful for students of all backgrounds.
Stuart brings a deep understanding of the Ontario curriculum, a heart for student well-being, and a vision for transforming how tutoring is done. Under his leadership, Grade Boost Now has become a trusted name for families seeking more than just homework help — offering real guidance that leads to lifelong learning.
